August 8–17, 2026 – Volunteer engagement period
The World Championships take place from August 13–16, 2026 in Duesseldorf. As preparation and follow-up work are required, volunteers are needed from August 08–17, 2026.
The main venue is the Flag Football Complex in Düsseldorf-Garath.
For better planning and organization, all volunteers should be available on at least three days.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old on August 07, 2026.
Yes. Commitment, enthusiasm, sufficient availability during the event period, and enjoyment of teamwork are essential. The enthusiasm and passion of volunteers will be key to creating a positive experience for all guests. Good German and some English language skills are required. Other languages are an advantage.
No. Prior experience may be helpful for certain roles, and volunteers are encouraged to contribute their individual skills and experiences, but it is not required.

Selection Process
Unfortunately not. After the application phase, all applications will be reviewed. Depending on the quality of the application, additional information may be requested or short online interviews may be conducted. This varies by functional area.
All applicants will receive feedback no later than June 30, 2026.
Interviews may be conducted with selected applicants depending on the role. Short interviews are planned for Team Guide volunteers. Most applicants will not be required to attend an interview.
After the registration portal closes, all applications will be reviewed. Candidates will be matched with the requirements of the available roles based on their skills and qualifications. The outcomes are divided into:
Confirmed participation
Waiting list / substitute volunteers
Rejection
After the selection process, you will receive an email informing you whether you have been confirmed or placed on the waiting list.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you are no longer able to participate so that your place can be offered to another volunteer.

Areas of Deployment and Shifts

Shifts generally last 8-9 hours, including sufficient breaks
After the volunteer selection phase, volunteers will be assigned to shifts internally. As we understand that advance planning is important, feedback will be provided as early as possible.
Your personal schedule will be available in your Eventvolunteers profile.
If you indicate specific skills or preferred areas during registration, we will try to consider them where possible. However, this cannot be guaranteed.
Benefits
Yes. All volunteers are covered by liability and accident insurance during their assignments and while traveling to and from the venue.
No. Volunteers must arrange their own accommodation for the event period.
No. Volunteers participate on an honorary basis and therefore do not receive monetary compensation. However, you benefit from several advantages, including:

Meals during your shifts
Certificate of participation
Opportunity to watch selected games
You will also be right in the middle of the event, interacting daily with officials and spectators, meeting new people, and you may keep your volunteer outfit after the event.
Yes. All volunteers will receive a certificate confirming their voluntary engagement.
